I’ve been using namecheap hosting for my small site, it’s been solid. It barely ever goes down, which is really all I need. I did have one issue at one point, and support was actually decent and helped me get it sorted.

I recently moved my WordPress site over to Namecheap and needed some help getting the hosting migration sorted. Support got back to me quicker than I expected and told me exactly what details they needed from my old host. Once I sent everything over, they handled most of it and the site came across without any real drama.
The only annoying part was waiting on the DNS changes, and I did get a little lost at one point, but they explained it well enough. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a good experience overall. I’d use them again.

I used namecheap to buy a domain, it was straightforward. I have a low tolerance for messy checkout pages or tools that make simple things feel complicated, so I appreciated that the search was quick and the steps were clear. I used Namecheap’s website builder for a small site, it was easy enough to get things up and running. The templates are decent, the drag-and-drop actually worked without making me question all my life choices, and I didn’t get stuck too often, which was a nice surprise. I moved my small WordPress site over to Namecheap and it literally just worked. The installer was simple to use, none of my plugins broke, and getting SSL set up was painless. I also like that cPanel feels familiar, so I wasn’t digging around trying to figure everything out. I did have one theme update act a little weird, but support pointed me in the right direction fast. For the price, it’s been a solid setup for my blog.

I grabbed a domain and hosting through Namecheap, and it went smoothly. I’m always a little suspicious when companies make the whole process sound magically “seamless,” but in this case the domain did show up in my account quickly, and the hosting info came through shortly after.
The only reason I’d knock it down to 4 stars is that the SSL/provisioning part took longer than I expected. I ended up refreshing a few times and wondering if something was stuck, but it sorted itself out in the end. Not perfect, but no real disaster either.

I had a DNS issue and, i was getting frustrated waiting to get connected to someone. But once the chat support guy finally jumped in, he actually knew what he was doing. He fixed it quickly, didn’t make me repeat everything a bunch of times, and explained what was going on in plain English.
